The Communicator

The second annual Anderson School Grandparents’ Day was a huge success.  There were many grandparents and community members from all over the Gallatin Valley and United States. After registering, they were treated to coffee and sweet treats made by the Anderson Parent Council.  Next, they went to their grandchild’s classroom and participated in several learning activities.  Lunch was a big hit thanks to Mrs. Sally Donch, Anderson’s Food Service Manager, and the excellent kitchen crew.  Roast beef and potatoes along with vegetables, cake and ice cream made up the tasty menu.  Many thanks to the Anderson Parent Council for the planning and preparation of this well attended event.Maia Johnson and Katie Catlett were the significant APC members that utilized their remarkable organizational and leadership skills.A special thank you to these ladies for ALL they did.We are looking forward to next year’s Grandparents’ Day. Annual Giving Fund

Posted On: December 1, 2011

Several years ago, the staff and teachers of Anderson School started the “Anderson Community Holiday Giving Fund” as a way for our school to donate funds to Anderson community  families in need. It has been a success and we would like to continue it this year.

The teachers and staff ask that in lieu of holiday gifts to a specific teacher or staff member, you might consider a donation in the teacher or staff member’s name to the “ Community Holiday Giving Fund.”  Checks or gift certificates (i.e. Wal-mart, Target or local grocery stores) are welcome. Please make your check payable to Anderson School. This is a tax deductible donation. If our donations exceed the needs of our community, we will donate the excess funds to a local non-profit organization, such as the Food Bank.

We respectfully ask that if you have needs, to contact the school office so that we may share the community’s  generosity with you. Please know that we will be discreet and will handle this with respect.
