Anderson Public School’s Back-to-School Night

Anderson parents/guardians are invited to attend our Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 8th. This event is for parents/guardians only. Please note the schedule below:
Parents with Students in Grades K- 4 Report to Classrooms (6:30 pm – 7:00 pm)
Teachers will share classroom curriculum, procedures and routines
ALL Parents/Guardians for Grades K-8 Report to Gym (7:05 pm – 7:25 pm)
Mr. Blessum, Mrs. Schultz, Ms. Dickson, Mr. Vick, Mrs. Wagner, Mr. Ferguson, Mrs. Costle and Mrs. Catlett, APC President, will share information about school programs.
Parents with students in Grades 5-8 Report to Classrooms (7:30 pm – 8:00 pm)

Have you gotten your TD booster vaccination? This has to be taken care of before the start of school. Please bring in proof of vaccination by the first day of school.
All Students with Religious or Medical Exemptions must have updated affidavits.
Dear parents, students, guardians and community members:
Greetings from Anderson School! In just a few days, many wonderful children from Anderson Community and beyond will be attending their first day of school for the 2011-12 School Year. We are excited and ready to meet their individual needs academically, emotionally and socially. Our well trained staff has attended several educational seminars, workshops and training sessions this summer to learn more about best practices and strategies regarding behavior management and the math, language arts and music curriculum. We are blessed to have such a dedicated and professional staff here at Anderson School.
ANNUAL “SNEAK-A-PEEK” DAY
I will be meeting with staff on Friday, August 26th, at 7:45 am, to plan and discuss another successful academic year along with activities and opportunities for our students. The annual “Sneak-a-Peek” student/parent opportunity is Friday, August 26th, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Please plan to attend this “before” school event to meet teachers and become familiar with lockers and classrooms. If you want to meet with a teacher to discuss your child/ren’s specific needs, please make an appointment before school starts and not during this time. Teachers will be very busy with many parents and students and will not be able to give you the specific attention needed to conduct a successful conference.
ANDERSON STUDENTS EXCEL!
Anderson School students, grades 3-8, scored very high marks on the annual Montana assessments last spring. Their Reading scores were 100% proficient and/or advanced and the Math scores were 92% proficient and/or advanced. These scores are well above the state average. Congratulations to our incredible students, dedicated teachers/staff and of course, you, the caring and supportive parents and guardians. Your involvement is critical and you are encouraged to continue building positive working relationships with teachers. Please, always feel welcome at Anderson and visit, call and/or email your child/ren’s teacher often to keep abreast of their progress. (more…)
